Production Process of Seamless Aluminum Tubes
Direct Extrusion Process
Direct extrusion is the most traditional extrusion method. The heated aluminum billet is loaded into the extrusion cylinder, and pressure is applied by pushing the punch, forcing the aluminum billet to flow through a fixed mold and mandrel to form seamless tubes.
In this process, significant friction occurs between the aluminum billet and the extrusion cylinder, which increases extrusion resistance, requiring higher pressure and extrusion temperatures to complete the process. After extrusion, the resulting aluminum tube typically requires further processing, such as cutting, heat treatment, or machining, to meet specific size and performance requirements.

Typically, multiple drawing passes and intermediate annealing steps are required to ensure the final product has high precision, superior surface finish, and uniform wall thickness.
